Offshore sailing course from Brittany to Canaries Islands with an 8 to 10 days offshore sailing program. Around 1300 nautical miles of “committed” navigation with the Bay of Biscay, then lowering along Portugal to reach the Canary archipelago.

Departure from Lorient in Brittany and arrival in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. This is the end of the first leg of the Atlantic crossing onboard Albatros, one of our crewed Challenge 67.

Embedded and committed crew member

This offshore sailing course will take you to Cape Finisterre by “tasting” Biscay Bay. We will then find the best route to reach the Canary Islands, either along the Portuguese coast or further offshore depending on the weather conditions.
8 to 10 days of navigation in the Atlantic Ocean, punctuated by the on and off shifts, navigation watch. Supervised by 2 professional sailors, Captain 200 Sailing and State certified graduates, each crew member actively participates to run the sailboat. Willingly, no pilot or furling are on board our sailing boats. It’s the best way to discover offshore sailing ! You will have eventually to support bad weather, cold at first and then heat.
And for those who wish to continue crossing the Atlantic, possibility of participating in the ARC, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. The departure will be given on November 20th to set sail for Saint Lucia. Find out more about our participation in the ARC…
